Frequently asked questions

Owning a holiday home on the Creek Caravan Park

How much time can I spend in my holiday home?

We are open from 1 April to 31 October every year and the licence agreement runs from 1 January to 31 December each year.  The licence agreement will begin from when you sign your licence agreement until 31/12/2042.

How much space comes with my pitch?

A pitch does not include any part of the Park except the base on which your holiday home stands and your deck, if applicable.  You can also use the area between your pitch and your neighbours, though this is not exclusively for your use.  You own the holiday home on your pitch, though not the land that it is on.

Can my friends and family use my holiday home?

Absolutely – it is your holiday home.  Being able to invite friends and family to stay and enjoy your holiday home is all part of the joy of being an owner at Ringstead.

Can I let my holiday home?

Yes, Ringstead Caravan Company provides a letting service through which you can let out your holiday home up to the equivalent of your annual pitch fee.  Letting can be done for three weeks between mid-July and 31 August and at any other time during the season.  To find out more contact sales@ringsteadcaravansales.co.uk

Can I bring my pets with me when staying in my holiday home?

Yes,  you are welcome to bring up to two well behaved dogs, (as long as they are not breeds listed under the Dangerous Dog Act). There are plenty of lovely walks from Ringstead that you and your dogs will enjoy.  Guide dogs are, of course, welcome everywhere on the Park.

What are the annual costs of owning a holiday home on the Creek Caravan Park?

There are a range of costs that you need to consider when deciding to buy a holiday home, these will vary depending on which pitch your holiday home is on and how much you use your holiday home.

The annual pitch fees cover the costs of the running of the Park. These include: wifi, water, sewage and waste management, maintenance, groundworks and general running costs and the ground rent. You can choose to pay this in one lump sum or spread the cost over several months, but this may include a charge.  Your pitch fee is linked to RPI and is subject to a review every year.

There are a number of additional annual charges, which may go up each year and are not controlled by the Ringstead Caravan Company.  These include local authority rates, electricity, (metered),  gas, the annual gas and electric safety testing, insurance and any extra services provided by the manager that you request.
